Rachel's Garden - 10" plate |
Rachel's Garden was a pattern commissioned by the Hermitage late in the IMS production days and was inspired by the
actual gardens surrounding the home of late President Andrew Jackson. In talking with Nancy Patterson Lamb, she talked about how she personally designed this pattern and was the only artist to hand-paint the glaze for each piece of the stoneware. This pattern is often confused with Martha's Flowers, but as seen by this images posted here, it is very different.
