Nancy, I am happy to discover this blog, as I was searching for the fate of iron Mountain Stoneware. My parents were Doug and Mary Rankin, who were in the Blacksburg area doing geological fieldwork in the 1960s (when I was born), and I grew up eating off of Iron Mountain Stoneware, which I have, sadly inherited recently.
